Char kway teow - The light soy sauce coated each strand of noodle, which had a deep smokiness and guaranteed wok hei, adequately.

The place called Joo Chiat Fried Kway Teow. The portion not big, I ordered $5 and is not enough π. The kway Teow have light wok hei, not sweet, and not too wet or too dry, so perfect ππ».
Comes with ingredients like lup Cheong and cockles.
Definitely worth my trip to try this ckt.
π°$4/$5.

You can scroll a few posts back to check out my review back then and this time round, the experience was still consistently good. Noodles were coated with the beaten egg and every savoury strand had a nice wok hei aroma.

He was spot on and this plate of char kway teow is now among the tops in my list. Joo Chiat Place Fried Kway Teow definitely deserves more recognition and can surely rival the top char kway teows in the island. The master behind the wok fries every portion individually and with such dedication and passion into each plate, you can be assured that your noodles have been given the well-deserved care and focus. This excellent plate of char kway teow tasted more savoury than sweet, had the smokey wok-hei aroma, eggy and last but not least, every strand of the rice noodles is not clumping together. If there is ever a place that you should spend your calories on, this is the place to be.

Surprisingly good find near my hood in a old kopitiam style with only one other prawn mee stall which was not open when I visited other than the usual drinks stall.
Wok hei is there, cockles are juicy + plump. I felt like the cockles were cooked just right my companion thought they were a bit over. They are on the sweeter side but not as sweet as laofuzi. I feel like they can do with more eggs.
Was really happy with this find tbh but that was until we saw a rat climbing across the top of the electrical wiring before it went missing into some of their crockery...... will be looking for my next new favourite ckt then
Quite a bit of wok hei, and I particularly like the way they do their eggs. Definitely a solid plate of ckt, tho it wasn't very intense in taste
