Enjoyed this! The noodles were hk-style crystal noodles, springy with a nice bite to it. The sauce is decent, and you can opt for green chilli.

I liked the char siew a lot - it’s lean but not dry, marinate is q tasty, on the sweet side. I even got some crunchy corner edges! Wantons were not bad too, the filling was seasoned with sesame oil, there were some sesame seeds too. Satisfied!

Not as springy as normal noodle, tastewise a bit bland, but its healthy version to have Wanton mee.

Joo Heng noodles has their own spin on Wanton noodles by using spinach noodles instead of the traditional egg noodles. Apart from the fact that it’s green, their jade noodles ( ηΏ‘ηΏ ιΊΊ ) were surprisingly springy which really helped to soak up their homemade chili sauce. Together with generous portions of char siew and wantons and we found ourselves the perfect hawker meal 🀀

Oh wait, did we mention that it only costs $3.50? WORTH. Check it out! ✌🏻

I ordered the Wanton mee at $3. The noodles are springy and tasty and the fat lean char siew taste shiok with a bit of charred taste. Normally, i will look out for the sauce and chili when eating wan ton mee and this stall meet up to my expectations. Sauce is not overly salty and have taste a bit sweet. As for the wanton, the meat inside is fresh and does not taste soggy or overcooked. This stall also sell chicken feet & pork ribs noodle and will try the next time. Overall, price is reasonable and decent portion hence is a must try for all wanton mee lovers !

First meal of 2015! At least I made it a good one. (Although I wanted to have something unhealthy like hokkien mee or carrot cake. Good thing they were closed) I love their homemade char siew! As for the noodles, I found the sauce a little too sticky and gooey. But I must really highlight their dumplings! It was really good! Super fresh prawns with minced meat, crunchy chestnuts and fragrant shiitake. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
