There are 4 types of noodles to choose from at Ju Hao: waves, slices, handmade and hand-shaped. You can pair them with a variety of sauces available: shallot, sesame and mala. You can also customise your preferred noodle texture as well as flavour profile and the amount of oil used.

My personal favourite would be the waves noodles as i like the texture I get from it topped with sesame sauce. I also recommend that you get the chicken chop, which is juicy and tender within but crispy on the outside, to go along! The red bean pancake is a good way to finish your meal too; not too sweet and with a nutty fragrance on the outside.

It's the time of the year again when I particularly miss Shanghai. To satisfy my XLB craving, here's some 3-in-1 consisting original, and fusion flavors of salted egg and chili crab. While there was a satisfactory amount of soup in the dumplings, taste was generally mediocre. The chili crab flavor was slightly spicy and tangy, but the salted egg was a little too powdery. A major no no is I have no idea how do you eat XLBs when they are served cold. I miss you, 佳佳湯包!

We ordered a "3-in-1 Basket Dumpling 三种口味小笼包" that comes with 3 different flavours. The original one has a light taste to it, the salted egg yolk's just taste like it has a bit salted egg yolk in it. The chilli crab XLB, I was actually hoping there would be some chilli crab sauce but no, it's more like chilli crab flavoured soup in it. They served a generous portion of 小菜 as shown in the picture but the texture seems more rough as compared to DinTaiFung's version. 猪排炒饭 comes with a piece of pan-fried pork chop, which taste pretty decent. 韭菜锅贴 was at a promotion price of $1++ since we spent above $30, this was decent but nothing to rave. 豆沙锅饼 has a layer or sesame seeds on it which I think actually add on to the thickness of the skin, but the sesame seeds does add some fragrance to it. They have the strangest 红油抄手, it's not spicy but instead it has some sweet taste to it and the dumpling skin is pretty thick for us. We wouldn't order that again. The chinese tea that we ordered was just luke warm when they served it to us. One thing that makes me rather "amused" was that their servers seems to have to habit of not asking the customers if they can clear the finished plate on the table, they would just take the plate and walk off. What if someone still wants those gravy? One thing good about them is they don't serve any chargable side dish on their own or wet towels. Their prices are pretty affordable.
