Each dessert hotpot comes with a choice of base (milk tea / coconut milk) with 5 toppings and includes condensed milk, gula melaka and oreo 》$9.90 (U.P. $17.80)

We get to choose from a range of toppings such as fruits (mango/kiwi/watermelon), grass jelly, red bean, nata de coco, black tea jelly, sago, yogurt granules, taro ball, raisin, black pearls, chendol, aiyu jelly, ginkgo nut, mini dumpling ball and beancurd (original/mango/strawberry).

We chose to have milk tea as our base with mango, mini dumplings, black Pearls, aiyu jelly and taro ball as toppings. They are quite generous with the portion of toppings served. Water was given to activate the dry ice for a cool smokey photo-worthy effect.

The milk tea was served chilled. It was not too sweet and I wish the ratio of tea to milk could be stronger. The mini dumplings were colourful but tasteless and black pearls lack the soft and chewy texture. Thankfully the fresh mango and taro balls did help to compensate a little. It was a fun experience but if you are looking for a quality bbt then it is a wiser choice to order your favourite cup of bbt elsewhere.

Visited Kaca Coffee House in Bedok North! They took over half of the premise which together cafe used to occupy. This shop specialises in claypot items as well as Chinese style desserts and bubble tea! (And maybe more famous for their dessert hotpot!) We tried the claypot chicken and mushroom rice here. The wait was about 20mins for the claypot rice. I love the aromatic smell of the claypot! The chicken is also tender and only with some parts with soft bones. This is one of the rare few shops where I see mushrooms added to the claypot chicken rice! (As well as fried lard but I'm not a fan of lards). And I must highlight that the chill is REALLY SPICY! Jus one tiny drop of it is 🔥🔥🔥. Luckily we ordered an iced lemon tea to go along with our meal.

Kaca Coffee house is a cosy cafe located at Bedok North that specialises in handmade Taiwanese desserts, fruit teas and claypot rice.

The most sought after dessert here is the Bubble Tea Hotpot. It’s not only instagram-worthy but also a really good sweet treat as well! This unique Bubble Tea Hotpot consists of a choice of any 5 toppings (taro balls, fruits, jellies, red bean, chendol etc) and a base of either Milk Tea, Mango or Durian Snow Ice. Each ingredient comes in generous portions and my favourite is the chewy taro balls! The ingredients blended really well with our choice of base - Milk Tea, and it’s not too sweet which I love! This is the perfect dessert for people from any walks of life.

I have always wanted to try this Bubble Tea “Hotpot” , a hidden gem in the east located at Blk 84 Bedok North Street 4. Finally had the chance to visit Kaca Coffeehouse, a store that sells claypot mains and Taiwanese style desserts. Initially, I visited the shop with low expectation thinking that it might be some jelat or sweetness overload bubble tea pot, but wanted to try it out of curiosity. I was pleasantly surprised that the milk tea shaved ice sweetness level was mild and that the different ingredients we chose kind of blend well together when we had it. The shop staff has provided us with brown sugar syrup for those who would prefer their shaved ice to be sweeter. Overall, it was a pleasant experience enjoying the bubble tea “hotpot” with friends and customising the toppings in the pot and the excellent customer service!
