The kway teow was cooked just right, not too soft, and came with delicious cockles and 3 fresh prawns. Would recommend paying RM1 more for the duck egg > chicken egg as it was more tasty

This dish fell a bit below my expectations cos it had too many raving reviews I think. But it was still good! The duck egg version was very interesting and and increased the savoury-ness of the kway teow.

This was a pleasant find as we visited Kafe Ping Hooi for the Tiger Char Koay Teow and found this store at a corner of the shop. I would say the Lor Bak is similar to Ngoh Hiang in Singapore but even better. The tofu was crispy on the outside but very soft on the inside which made chewing it very 爽口. The prawn cracker was extremely crispy as well and went well together with the other ingredients on the plate like say the boiled octopus. Tried Lor Bak a few times in Penang after that but this particular Lor Bak triumphs the rest that I tried.

Tiger Char Koay Teow | A plate of char koay teow wit duck egg and big fat juicy prawns. Extra spicy & no cockles! My favourite CKT in Penang. RM7

This is really good. Soup base that is just right, aromatic and flavourful, with a hint of sweetness as well as spiciness, and not forgetting essential ingredients like prawns, pork slice and ribs, noodles, bean sprouts, kangkung and half-boiled egg. RM8 per bowl

Even though it was a 3D2N trip, we had them every single day!

Tiger Char Kway Teow this name came from the first generation hawker due to his name "Ah Hor" plus you can recognise them via the interesting abstract 🐯 signboard. Springy rice noodles, sizeable prawns, crunchy beansprouts, fried with duck egg gives it a more fragrant flavour. Wish there was stronger wok hei though.
