Hidden within Keong Siak, this beautifully decorated African-theme cafe serves hearty dishes and unique coffee plus cocktails from the vast continent.

Since hotcakes 🥞 are my absolute favourite, I decided to try their Ricotta Hotcakes ($23). It was a sweet symphony of ricotta cheese, fresh mixed berries, and vanilla bean ice cream. Though the cardamom-infused maple syrup might be a deterrence to some as it comes across quite intense.

P.S: fans of peanut butter might want to try their Bidi Bado ($7). This nutty speciality coffee is a combination of mocha rimmed with natural peanut butter, pink peppercorns and toasted almonds!

The spicy kick of the swahili fish curry is not to be underestimated. Made from grilled red snapper, habanero, in-house curry paste and tamarind, thus the simultaneous sour, hot and spicy taste which somehow reminds me of assam fish. The stew was served together with coconut rice which resembles our local nasi lemak. Deliciously good for the chilli lovers albeit overly priced. With that pricing, people can have 3 servings of assam fish with nasi lemak.

Mocha made with latte art served in a cup surrounded with peanut butter, pink peppercorns and almonds. The overall profile was a nutty, pepper spicy, buttery enhancer blended with fruity, chocolate, nutty and aromatic coffee. The dominant creamy texture was primarily from the foamed milk and peanut butter.
