Kagetsudo Asakusa

We got the normal one without ice cream for 220 yen (because we thought it will be too messy to eat it with ice cream). It wasn't served warm though and it was super plain in the interior like any other white bread. So this was a mehhhh for us! Melon Pan Ice;crunchy biscuit layer over a super fluffy bread, eaten warm with ice cream sandwiched in the middle, what’s not to love?
Wonder why they’re called Melon Pan although no melons are actually incorporated? It’s because the crunchy biscuit top was lined in such way that it resembles a melon.
This one I tried is just one of the several melon pan shops in Asakusa. Wasn’t my initial shop in plan to visit but it has brought me so much joy (no lebai se enak itu apalagi if u love breadddd). Featured is the Melon Pan メロンパン with Matcha 抹茶 soft serve. Melon pans are a MUST TRY when visiting Asakusa!
