From the Burpple community

The pastry was fluffy and layered and crumbly, but not very crunchy. Filling was decent

Good execution, no surprises. Very expensive for the size

Their signature. It's brushed w teriyaki sauce and there's a little bit of smokiness from the pan frying. On top of that, this is probably the siew mai with the most generous and biggest chunks of prawn I've had. Very reasonably priced for this quality

The combination of factors made for delightful packages and the best innovative siew Mai I've ever had

Excellent

I didn't like this. It's a amalgamation, because there's this char siew like sweetness in the filling. The bun was fluffy enough but not crisped up at the bottom at all

Not my thing, filling was juicy but too soft, almost melt in your mouth

It's a floury filling rather than all chives, there's bits of chives, bits of shrimp, and this underlying ham/XO taste

What stunned was the skin. Very thin and crunchy, quite similar to murtabak

They might be the best xlb I've had in SG yet.

The skin is perfect and correct(very very rare). It needs to be super thin yet have this suppleness. The soup was also very good. The only problem is that the filling is more bouncy than meaty

So close to perfection, definitely worth making your way here

Veggies and egg were good, the whole thing had enough body while remaining rather clean tasting. The carrot cake was of excellent quality. No crunch but the whole thing was soft without being mushy, and has this slight melt in your mouth denseness. Each piece is well made, and probably handmade given how unique the texture is

Excellent, not to be missed here
