I can have chirashi don all day every day, & Kaiware's is definitely one of them. Priced at 18$+ during lunch time, the don comes with chawanmushi, miso soup, braised vegetable side dish & watermelon slices. Did I mention it was all for 18$+? While the slices aren't as thick as some other establishments, it's fresh & you don't feel the need for a food coma after you're done.

One of the best chirashi don i ever had. I loved the salmon belly the most. Even the prawn was surprisingly tasty! Try it for yourself! It is reasonably priced as well! Went there on a Monday night for dinner. We were the only ones there, other than another couple. Make a trip to triple one somerset before the q starts to get long! If you are a fan of chirashi don, this is a must to go.

Been frequenting this Japanese restaurant for a while now and the quality of the sashimi is always very good. Thick slices and good cuts of fish and other seafood. Must go! ~$28++

It was by chance that I've tried Chef Peter's creations at Wasabi Tei. After which I've followed him to Chikuwa Tei, mitsuba and now, Kaiware. I would always try his sake don and it always seem to satisfy this belly of mine. Super fresh slices of salmon sashimi on a bed of rice which was sweet and savory, perfectly seasoned with salt, vinegar and mirin. You're missing out if you're a sashimi lover but have yet to this! Only downside was that I thought the soya sauce was extremely salty so do go easy on it. The restaurant was relatively quiet on a weekday night - it might be because there isn't much traffic to Triple One at Somerset but I suspect it would just get more crowded when people starts to discover this gem!

Chef Peter aka the nazi chef who founded wasabi tei, chikuwa tei and mitsuba has a weird habit of buying and selling japanese restaurants after giving them a make over. His latest muse is now Kaiware at triple one Somerset where he has revamped the place for a couple months. Catch him before he anyone knows about this place! #SETHEATS
