We enjoy coming to KARA. This is our 2nd visit. But! Just a PSA, don't get the Ice Choc ($6.50) because it tastes like chocolate milk + bit of cocoa powder. Place has plugs everywhere. Good for studying or working 📗⌨📧

3.5⭐ There's 1 for 1 cake + drink so we hangout here after having our brunch. The cakes are not bad but the drinks are quite bland.

I've got a love-hate relationship with KARA Cafe. Their food is way overpriced for the portions, it's stupid crowded half the time and the staff is not the friendliest. But this Miso Pork Belly ($16++) always keeps me coming back. With packet ramen chips, an overcooked egg and sparsely strewn vegetables, you'd frown at the price point until you take a bite of the pork belly. Three layers of perfection, ratioed perfectly for that melty, fatty goodness and the zingy miso-teriyaki marination of the meat. The meagre portioning stops it from getting too jelak, yet leaves you hanging like an incomplete hyphenation, a cruel lover. I just feel very strongly about this pork belly, okay?

TL;DR Try this dish if you can handle everything other than the meat seeming like an afterthought.

I have gone to Kara quite a few times to spend time with friends and to study as well. However Im extremely disappointed to have been chased out by staff when I was studying even though I had purchased a full meal and a coffee and I was not even done with my drink yet (and I wasn’t even around for a long while). Perhaps it was very busy and reservations were made but why accept reservations if your patrons aren’t done yet. In fact there there were others who were on their laptops as well so I’m not sure what this double standard is about. And they even have a second level that with more seats that they could’ve opened but instead they resorted to chasing me out. Highly don’t recommend for the disgustingly terrible service

Sogurt was good, and so was the coffee. Cafe was very aesthetic too. Overall a pleasant experience!

Ate this before with a friend and this is my third time. Never fails to disappoint.
Love how the pork belly melts in your mouth, there is crunch from the Mamee noodle and the onsen egg gives its creaminess.

Portion size is a little small for $16 but burpple makes it worth!
