Something about pork belly just makes you love it. The balance between lean meat and fat, mmmmmm.

The pork belly was soft and tender, and also well seasoned. You will love this if you love braised pork!

Everytime I order drinks that try to recreate a childhood snack of mine I get abit worried that they just use food coloring which makes it taste fake. This drink surprised me though, it was a very refreshing mix of lime juice and calpis and I’m guessing abit of sprite which made it quite tasty especially on a hot day. It was also accompanied with Calpis pearls and was a fun addition to burst it in my mouth.

The rice bowl came with with an onsen egg, ramen crisps (basically mamee noodles), 2 pieces of pork belly, pickled cucumbers and the rice was topped with a small salad. The menu said it would come with an edamame salad but there was none of that in the bowl. When you mix in all the ingredients in the bowl, the rice actually becomes quite a tasty mouthful, with different flavors and textures from the sauce, mamee noodles and salad. The pork belly is quite tender but 2 pieces of pork seems like a sad serving size. The whole rice bowl was also abit too cold for my liking?? like it was prepared way ahead of time.

Taco Mex Chicken (~$14) was supaaaa flavourful with salsa, chicken, a quarter avocado🥑🥑 corn chips and jap rice, didn’t really see the fusion in this except the rice? Cilantro crema was (apparently a herb cream lol I googled) but it didn’t really have a taste to it at all, instead just tasting creamy and had more texture than taste. Rice to ingredient and salsa ratio was so much so ended up leaving loads of white rice :-( overall nothing really to shout about.
.
Ice flat white (~$7) was average but one thing I liked was that there wasn’t LOADS of ice and there was actually a decent amount of coffee so it didn’t dilute.

Pork Belly Miso Grain Bowl (S$16+)
A ramen-inspired dish with fork-tender kakuni braised pork belly, soft egg 🥚, ramen 🍜 crisps, cucumber 🥒 edamame salad, miso cream and nori.
With garlic Japanese rice as base.
That’s 2 pieces of sinfully fatty of pork belly was not enough. The fat melted away easily when pressed.

Aburi Mentaiko Salmon (S$16+)
Cooked salmon flakes, mentaiko, mayonnaise, mozzarella, furikake and soft onsen egg.
With garlic Japanese rice as base.
So rich and creamy. .

🤔: After a good mix, the grain bowl actually came together really nicely. The addition of avocado made it creamy while the tortilla gave every mouth a slight crunch. The jalapenos and salsa gave the grain bowl a spicy and sour kick, making it very appetising. Chicken was not dry and although it was said to be taco-spiced chicken, it tasted like just normal chicken marinated in salt. The portion was good for the price, and when compared to other cafes, the food is not that expensive. With an extensive menu, I definitely see myself returning to try their other mains!
