Comes with a miso soup. The food was served piping hot. The chicken became soggy because they doused a lot of sauce. They are in bite sizes too. I feel they could put more egg.
I can't believe it has taken me this long to learn about Kazan which serves good and cheap Japanese bento meals
Yes, it's mostly deep fried food but I am amazeby how they consistently manage to serve shattering crisp katsu cutlets. I am also a bit fan of their japanese curry which is both sweet and savoury and their teriyaki chicken.
For $6 to $8 for a meal, it is definitely good value!
Huge piece of unagi for the lunch set. This stall sell various wallet friendly Japanese bentos.
I don't actively seek out unagi but I can appreciate cheap and good unagi. By my standards, which are probably very low, this was good at this price point. Smoky, addictive, yummy sauce.
Famed for their Unagi Set ($8) and pocket-friendly Jap food, I pondered for a while and decided to go for a dish thatβs less commonly found - Yuzu Chicken Cutlet. It was crunchy on the outside and succulent on the inside. I love that slight zesty kick from the yuzu which left me craving for more.
They served me a huge slab of Unagi in a long bento box. The unagi is glazed with their sauce. The meat was sweet from the sauce and very tender but there's so many small bones.. so it was abit weird when i was eating. The bones are totally edible though. π±π±π±π±π±
