Using the same thinner beehoon as the laksa, this unfortunately fared worse. The soup was okay, but lacked the necessary depth to keep me wanting more, so go for the laksa instead. Not pictured is the claypot chicken rice, which turned out to be my favourite of the lot — fragrant rice bits, chicken, and topped with an onsen egg!

At Yee Fung, a possible tourist trap (saw mostly tourists as the customers), there are 3 main signatures — laksa, ngiu chap, and claypot chicken rice. Got the bigger portion as it was only a RM1 difference. The laksa lacked the spicy factor and wasn’t as good as my preferred versions in SG, but the ingredients (assortment of egg strips, tau pok, bean sprouts, prawn etc) made up for it, and I actually enjoyed the thinner strands of noodle they have here more.
