Hidden along a quiet street off the main road, this conventional-looking coffeeshop surprises with a somewhat novel menu. For lunch, fill your tummy on hearty plates like the Pork Chop Rice (RM7.50). The tender pork chop slices are slicked in a dark, sweet-sticky sauce, which plays nice with white rice for punchy yet balanced flavours. Do like Burppler Muriel A and top up RM1 for the perfectly oozy fried egg! Noodle recommendations run wide here, with the Foo Chow-style Red Wine Chicken Mee Sua (RM7.50) at the top of our list. But it is worth noting that the heartwarming dish sells out early, especially on rainy days. If that's the case, try their interesting take on wok hei-fragrant Fried Chee Cheong Fun (RM6.50) that resembles char kuey teow with chee cheong fun rolls, or join the rest of Chin Heng's customers in ordering the comfort food choice: Chicken Chop (RM9.50).
Avg Price: RM10 per person

You don't often see chee cheong fun rolls used like kway teow in a dish and I have to say that I really liked this, especially since we could smell the fragrant wok hei as the plate was laid on the table. 👅💦 While the flavours didn't really seep all the way through the rolls' inner layers, the chef didn't hold back on the seasoning, mostly fish sauce/light soy sauce and salty bits of hae bee. This eggy and lardy plate comes with a generous amount of crunchy bean sprouts and fish cake slices too!

Another enjoyable dish here! Tender pork slices slathered in a sweet, tangy and savoury sauce like no other! Love the balance and bonus points for the oozy sunny side up (+RM1).

Can't say I loved this as I'm not a big fan of thick, starchy gravies, but this sure was hearty. Dig for endless yellow noodles slicked in a curry-kissed gravy stuffed with lots of meat slices and potatoes.
