This shop inside people's park center (NOT the same as pp complex) specialises in herbal klang style BKT. I've never been a fan of soupy dishes since Singapore is so hot and humid, so to me the real star is the dry BKT- oh so tasty and uses the coveted soft bone pork which melts in your mouth. Gets a bit salty towards the bottom, so mix the cuttlefish bits with a bowl of garlic rice (80 cents) for 💯 enjoyment. The dry BKT comes with a bowl of soup which has stronger herbal taste than the BKT soup since it is not mixed with the pork meat.

What’s good to eat post-rainy morning?
.
BAKUTEH 🙌🏻 Kee Hiong Bak Kut Teh is slightly different from the usual sg-style BKT because it has herbal broth rather than the white peppery one. Very comforting to the tummy 😊
.
They have different parts available but I’d recommend y’all to try their 1) Dry Bak Kut Teh 2) Tua Kut Soup 3) Mee Sua
.
Other than their outlet at People’s Park, there is another one at AH Garden Cafe. Plus - they’re available on Grabfood, Honestbee and Deliveroo (if you just wna stay home this PH and nua but still eat some soupy goodness)

The soup is more than just dark soy sauce; it is boiled with over 10 medicinal chinese herbs for many hours. The mixture of ribs and belly meat have an intense flavour with ikan billis and dried shrimps, chilli and lady finger 😋😋😋. Not to miss Big Bone that you don't see it anywhere else except Kee Hiong. Unfortunately, it's sold out at dinner on my visit. Definitely, making my second visit! .
Dry Bak Kut Teh at S$8.50

Went there during weekend for dinner and it was quiet, thankfully. The food were really great! The portion of meat was plenty with the affordable price and there is free-flow of the herbal soup. Too bad the herbal soup's herb taste is not as strong as what I tasted in Malaysia. Bit the dry bak kut teh was really good! The service was really great with how the uncle kept refilling the soup for so many times without us asking for more 😄
