My second visit here - feel like they can get quite understaffed so be prepared to wait for your food. The Burpple 1-for-1 included a set with mentaiko tamago, salad with roasted sesame dressing, miso soup and a bowl of your choice. At $13 it’s really affordable, but quality wise the food is pretty average. Not the freshest but okay for the price!

I liked how the piquant flavour and slight saltiness of the mentaiyaki balance out the light sweetness of the tamago. While the sashimi cubes are fresh and silky, the mentaiko-laden tomago blow-torched to perfection adds a lovely umami flavour to the don.

Love the food here. Yummy, fresh & delicious. Only drawback, Green tea wasn’t free, got to top up.
Staffs were very friendly.
Be back anytime 😀

Unagi Udon (~$16.90): would pass on this bc this is Super normal..... probably the average unagi don you can have anywhere 🙂

Tamago Mentaiko (~$10.90): gonna say that I’m NOT a fan of mentaiko in general but I quite liked this! The tamago wasn’t the most consistent but the pairing of tamago and mentaiko had a good balance of sweet and salty, though I would prefer less mentaiko since it overpowered the sweetness at times 🍳

I’m the person that gets Tori Terriyaki Don (~$12.95) at a sashimi place, but I’m Glad I did because this was pretty good! Though the terriyaki sauce was lacking, the chicken itself had flavour, and the meat was slightly sweet. Portion wise their dons were quite small: it filled me up bc I’m a small eater but it might not be filling for everyone :-(
