Here at @keikaisendon.sg, you will be ecstatic to find a good variety of yummy rice bowls, topped with fresh sashimi from the seas of Japan. Just like a Hitsumabushi, you can enjoy their Kaisendon in 4 unique ways - eat it on its own, mix it with their chilli powder & mayonnaise, blend it with their soup, or wrap the sashimi with their nori seaweed. A pretty interesting concept to bring out the full flavour😋

👉Mentaikaki Tamago Kaisendon - SGD18.90

Guess what? Their newest outlet will be opening today 21st Feb at @111somersetsg. Come discover their Kaisendon for yourself this coming weekend if you haven’t! And of course if you’re a fan of all things mentaiko, I’d recommend ordering their Ebi Mentaiko, Hotate Mentai & Homemade Tamago Mentai.

Thank you @keikaisendon.sg for the tasty lunch treat☺️!

Pretty big chunks of sashimi on top of perfectly cooked Japanese rice. I am not a fan of rice usually but savored every grain in this bowl. The combination is delicious. The Burrple Beyond set came with pan fried gyoza and a drink, which the gyoza is much better than expected (compared to Ajisen). With 1 for 1, the bill came up to $35.20 nett for 2 pax.

Mentaiyaki Kaisendon Set ($29.90)
The #burpplebeyond sets @keikaisendon.sg may seem pricey but getting 1-for-1 makes this really worth the while. We ordered the signature kaisendon and mentaiyaki kaisendon. I really enjoyed the mentai version and the fish tasted fresh. The set also comes with salad, soup. a chicken skewer and tea. Great value overall.

Got the salmon mentaiko bowl that comes with one piece of tamago mentai, and a mentaiko chirashi don. The mentaiko on the chirashi was really generous and good! Sashimi pieces were fresh too, accompanied with pieces of cucumber. The yakitori sticks were really tasty too! Even though the set had a drink, salad, 2 sticks and the bowl, 2 sets for $32 was not super cheap too, but affordable once in a while.

Ordered the set which comes with green tea, salad, grilled prawns, miso soup and the kaisendon. We topped up additional for mentai tamago which was alright. Kaisendon has generous servings of sashimi

The burpple premium set meal comes with hot/cold green tea, soup of the day, Japanese salad and Ebi mentaiyaki. Unlike the usual miso soup, the soup consists of tender slices of fish that add on a natural sweetness to the soup. We ordered the Kei signature Kaisendon and Tamago Mentaiyaki Kaisendon. The ebi mentaiyaki was torched perfectly, the Ebi sashimi remains tender while you can still taste the smoky taste from the mentaiko mayo. The sashimi cubes of the kaisendon were also well marinated. Super worth it with Burpple Beyond. I will definitely be back for more.
