food is typical, burpple deal isn’t exceptional, tho i do like their mentaiko sauce it’s got a good burnt taste to it. and it’s a meal that makes u FULL

the set is quite a mouthful - your donburi, miso soup, salad and a meat side dish. we got yakitori sticks this time (you usually can’t choose and i think they switch it up from time to time). total was about $19+ per person after including gst, which i think is quite a normal price point for a set like this. got the chicken teriyaki don, it’s very very typical

Been a while since I’ve eaten at this wallet-friendly kaisendon spot. And I was surprised to find new additions on the menu, including the 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘆 & 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗸𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗗𝗼𝗻 that we tried.

This rice bowl comes with a mini mountain of bonito flakes. Hidden beneath that is an onsen egg topped with ikura, tobiko and sesame seeds. Quite a generous portion and best for sharing since it does get surfeiting.

Overall good quality and good service!! Order the signature bowl, best deal as compared to the rest. If you order salmon don or beef don, recommend to order ala carte instead of using Burpple

Unpleasant service when I was doing a takeaway at Somerset 313 in Kaisen Don restaurant. I feel I am been cheated for this one for one price. It’s totally not worth the price tag. Burpple stated one for one for the $29.90 so called premium set. But honestly,I can it at $12.90++ for the meal itself though without salad, miso soup, tea and salad. Honesty, not everyone needs this so called premium set.

Paid a total of $35 including GST and service charge, so that averages to about $17.50 per pax for a main, 2 drumlets (they gave us yakitori instead), miso soup and refillable tea. The mentaiko sauce was really tasty and you can’t really go wrong with salmon! They gave a really big piece of unagi, but the quality wasn’t that great as how a good unagi should be slightly chewy. It’s not exactly the most rewarding deal on burpple, but the staff were really friendly and service was great!
