Hidden in SMU is this Japanese affordable healthy bowl that the student get additional discount.

Many people would go for their smoked salmon which torched perfectly, mixed very well with all the ingredients.

6 dollars chicken soba bowl, satisfying and easy on the pocket.

Note this is open on weekdays only

Housed in SMU, it’s a really affordable and good don place - nothing to pick on! Soba was good!!!! But don’t expect too much from the salmon too (not poke kind of salmon) would probably try chicken/duck the next time round :-)

Smoked salmon paired well with the pickled vegetables given which were surprisingly not overly sour/saltish. This may be the first time I actually enjoyed eating the pickled vegetable. However, I felt that there could be more mentaiko given, though I guess this in itself makes the bowl healthier? (But less satisfying...)
Came with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and an onsen egg. The vegetables really helped to make the dish feel lighter and to reset your palate for another bite of the smoked salmon

Overall, tastes healthy and served with an adequate portion of rice. They've distinguished their mentaiko salmon bowl from other stalls by offering smoked salmon. However, if I wanted a satisfying and big slab of salmon drenched in creamy mentaiko sauce, I'll probably go to Big Bowls Project at Amoy Street instead. If you're a big eater, you can always add an extra base for $1.50 or additional protein at their respective prices.

Omg. The tofu was soOO well seasoned!! And the soba was very nicely cooked. I didn’t add any extra sauce because I thought the sauce from the teriyaki tofu and the creaminess from the onsen egg would be enough :) left me wanting more!!

Ordered the salmon mentaiko bowls and they were torched to perfection. The whole bowl tasted very wholesome and satisfying!
