Perhaps we chatted and took awhile to slice the bread apart. Was a little disapppointed when it didn't explode like how I saw on IG. But the laksa was really good. Very pricey for a few forkful of laksa so maybe can the bakery sell a full serving instead?

Cut it open and out flows a river of milo molten. A sweet treat that is good for sharing.

Who else likes burnt edges like me? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ There’s just something about these charred, crisp, slightly bitter bits that’s so gratifying, carcinogenic or not πŸ˜… Keong Saik Bakery recently launched a burnt cruffin series in 3 flavours: Burnt Cheese, Burnt Matcha Cheese, and Brown Sugar Burnt Cheese. I tried the first 2 and I have to say the original Burnt Cheese is my fave. The cheese filling melts better and oozes out perfectly which, aside from the aesthetic plus point, makes the cruffin a lot more enjoyable β€” it’s a lot nicer eating a liquid warm filling than a thick, heavy custard. Texture aside I found the cheese filling too sweet for me, with the cheese flavour taking a backseat to the sugar. Would definitely give this a πŸ’― if the cheese were more savoury

All u can taste is the natural sweetness from the sweet potato for the fillings. Hint of greens from the bread due to the usage of matcha.

I think I prefer eating the real kueh salat with a stronger pandan flavour and more bite from the glutinous rice.

My companion who had the bun didnt like it much, she commented there was too much bread in proportion to the filling.

This was introduced to coincide with National Day. If you like bandung/rosewater like me, go for it! The bundung custard and flakey layers are so good.
