'Sor Hei' ($4)
- A black and white danish pastry with layers of chocolate chips embedded into it
- Crispy, buttery with a hint of cashew nuts; I am not entirely sure if they actually added any but there was definitely a nutty aftertaste to the pastry
- Subtle semi-sweet chocolate flavour
- Good to pair with their coffee and (I'm not kidding) to dip in soft-boiled eggs
Price: 7/10
Taste: 6.5/10
Overall: 6.5/10

Matcha salted egg cruffin ($4.90)
- The cruffin itself was very crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside
- The top was also subtly sweet due to the powdered sugar, making it slightly more enjoyable to eat
- When I first tasted the filling, I must admit that it was quite bizarre and had no idea what I was tasting. After awhile though, it was quite addictive and the sweet salted egg taste was very distinct with a matcha aftertaste to end the entire experience
Overall, quite enjoyable if you like salted egg

A cruffin is what happens when a croissant, meets a muffin and, it is a match made in heaven. The matcha cruffin was no doubt amazing with every bite. And, waiting on the inside was a heavenly matcha core. Crisp, flaky, buttery and hard to resist! Dusted with matcha powder. It wasn’t overloaded with sweetness, making an enjoyable and balanced dessert! Yumssssss~ ☺️🍃🥐

to usher the weekend 💚

Finally checked @keongsaikbakery off my food bucket list, been wanting to try it since the longest time 🍃

1️⃣ Matcha Swiss Roll - SGD 6.80 🍃🍰
Superbly fluffy, fragrant and moist chiffon sponge that practically melts in your mouth, rolled up with a generous amount of lusciously matcha cream that comes with lingering bitter undertone. Quite a treat for matchaholics as the oozy cream is rich, vegetal and earthiness. Dusted with more uji matcha powder on the top for some bitterness. Major yum~ I’m totally sold!
For the quality of bakes, i would say it’s quite value for money💚

Portion is rather huge for one hence sharing is highly recommended. BUT, as for me i am always selfish when it comes to matcha and would gladly indulge in one all by myself 😝🤤😌🍃

Milo lovers will definitely enjoy each bite if this delectable dense George Milo ($5.50) cake that is not cloying sweet and packed with Milo goodness.

This would be perfect if they could tone down the sourness from the lime curd just a little, as we found it to be slightly overpowering the intense matcha. Still awesome 💚 (Swipe to see inside!)

Managed to order 4 of their matcha pastries and cakes from keong saik bakery. Didn't expect to find good matcha pastries and desserts in Singapore and keong saik bakery surprised me! The cruffin and swiss roll tops my list of what to try! Especially the cruffin which oozes out matcha lava when you toast and heat it up for a bit before eating!
