KFC (Sun Plaza)

Do you see much difference? At the back there are 2 chicken tenders and the mala chicken is in the foreground. There is barely a visible difference. Taste wise, same. It is so barely spiced. So disappointed. Texas chicken did mala chicken last year and it was so much better! It actually tasted like the mala hotpot. KFC, you failed.
This set was at $10.95.

Chicken leg marinated in a signature tasty blend of paprika chilli, pepper, garlic, onion and herbs, and then grilled to a crisp, golden perfection.

No complaints about the pancakes. Eggs ok. The sauce.. not too generous when compared to McDonald’s. The bacon is 2 thin (emphasise) stripes of hard/crispy... I don’t know, I don’t think I can call it meat. (Similar to the Taiwanese thin pork jerky texture.. thin and crispy but no real savoury satisfaction.)

Blame my horrible self-discipline but there was absolutely no unseeing of the Vanilla Custard Puff on the promotional poster when I simply walked past the KFC branch at Sun Plaza — just had to get my grubby hands on one.

Costing only $1.90 each, the puff is served hot, being placed in the same warmer as their fried chicken behind the counter. The pastry is rather plain but doesn't lack of crispness — the insides filled with jiggly custard that's not entirely molten hence unlike the usual cream puffs, but it was sure sweet and works as a good snack.

The yellowish sauce looked cheesy but really got truffle taste although can't smell it.

Sour Cream & Turkey Bacon Fries - Won't go wrong with sour cream and bacon though I wish the sour cream is of thicker consistency & turkey bacon bits crispier.
