If you have been to Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre, there are a number of stalls that are visibly popular among the rest and one of them is none other than Kian Seng Lor Mee Prawn Mee Laksa stall. You will notice that the stall always have a long queue lining up since early in the morning and that prove the number of die hard fans they have!

I joined the long queue and wanted to order some bowls of Laksa but ended up disappointed as it was all sold out.

The bowl of Lor Mee and thick Lor Sauce that was not too cloying or starchy. It also have a generous portion of pork belly, Ngoh Hiong, slices of fish cakes and braised egg. Apparently, such traditional and unpretentious bowl of Lor Mee is well liked by the heart landers.

To be honest, the 3 dishes on the menu were the regulars all time favourite. The taste of Prawn Noodle was traditional with 4 small prawns in a bowl, lean meat, fishcakes. If you are looking for traditional Prawn Noodle taste with a decent prawn broth, this will fit the bill.

Queue was long but it moved rather quickly. Lor mee was only $3.50 but did not have much ingredient to it. Much prefer the one at Taman Jurong to this.

Joined in the queue for a good bowl of Lor Mee ($3.00). Literally, I finished everything in the bowl including the gravy which is not too starchy.

A bowl of very unpretentious goodness Lor Mee. Thick Lor Mee sauce, coats and cover a generous portion of pork belly slices and 3 balls of niong hiang, slices of fish cakes and a quarter of braised egg. Well-balanced in terms of flavour, of vinegar, garlicky and heat from the Chilli. Extremely old-school and endearing.
If it's good enough, for Caucasians to queue in this blistering heat, it's definitely worth the waiting.
So do be prepared to queue, although they are actually pretty speedy.

Okay for the sake of trying everything in the hawker centre, and it didn’t make me a lor mee fan.

This one of the must have when you're visiting the market hawker centre @ Clementi 448! It's also famous for its prawn noodles as well as the hot red bowl of laksa! Wah this is so good! 👍
