@jooeunchung and I are big fans of Kim Dae Mun which is located in a basement shop at Concorde Hotel.
I have been visiting since my JC days and they have managed to keep their food good and affordably price throughout these years.
I usually have their chicken bulgogi but they also serve a nasty good yukgaejang (육개장 or spicy beef soup) which is perfect for this weather. Their garlic chives pancake is also one of the best I have had --- crispy and savoury all in one.
💸: $4.50
💬: Super crispy edges and a steamy and garlicky centre, this pancake is definitely a must-get here
Not the most pleasant of photo, but what it lacks in look, it makes up for it in taste. This kimchi soup was chock full of ingredients and had my brother nodding in satisfaction. Flavourful and spicy, this hits all the right spot, especially on a rainy afternoon. I’d highly recommend all to try this hole in the wall place at Concorde!
Extremely worth the price! Got it delivered to my place and not only were the food tasty, it was still warm! As you can see from the photo, it was packed to the brim with chicken and I even had leftovers after finishing my rice. If I were to buy the same dish at a foodcourt, it would have been the other way round.
Found a new favourite Korean restaurant in town! Taste was pretty authentic too, none of that watered down sauce that you’ll get elsewhere 💯
This place never fails go amaze us with their huge portions and taste.
A really good bowl of sundubu ($8)! It doesn’t look like much, but the bowl is deep and chock full of ingredients. It comes with an array of seafood and the requisite tofu & egg! Would love if it was a tad spicier, but this was very satisfying.
