Another staple from the Zi Char place that I usually order. You get a fair decent amount of pork slices that's fragrant with onions and coated with a savoury sauce, rice and an egg. A hearty meal; just beware that some of the vegetables that they cook the sauce with can be a bit fibrous and hard to chew.

Rating 7/10.

Pretty decent prawn paste chicken. The skin was crispy and the prawn paste flavour profile was strong enough. A staple for takeaway dinners. The waiting period varies from 10 mins to 20 mins depending on the number of customers that day.

Got this for lunch during one of the weekdays. It was pretty satisfying overall with distinct enough wokhei (the beansprouts were slightly charred), and topped with a combination of squid, fish slices and shrimps.

A robust, quick and satisfying lunch before it's back to work. Will order again !😄

Decent, but nowhere near as good as special pork. The sauce was savoury enough but somehow still felt thin, maybe the pork doesn't grab on to it well. Pork was v tender, and theres a lot of effort put into the dish(esp the thinly sliced onions). Lemongrass was not overpowering thankfully, but it's an absolute pain to remove. Today's egg was also pretty sad. Missing the salty punch from the salted beans too from special sauce pork. Stick w that, that was a gem

Located at Bishan 514A (really near the bus interchange) lies Kimly Seafood which is very well known among the people living around the area. We got a couple of dishes including the set meals. The BBQ Pork Ribs set ($5.50) that comes with 4 rather succulent and flavourful pork ribs, also included an egg and of course rice. The best was the salted vegetable seafood soup ($12) that we ordered that came with generous amounts of fresh fish, squid and prawns. The soup was really flavourful too!

I can see why it's so popular, as the food is good and the price is reasonable; 4 set meals and 3 medium sized dishes amounted to a total of 48 for 4.

No lemongrass, and less spicy compared to the fragrant pork rice

This was really good, pork was v tender and the sauce was bomb. Full of umami from the hae bi and the preserved black beans. Heard the standard of their fried egg isn't v consistent tho, overdone sometimes. Could wish for more meat but the taste was top notch
