Free flow pork lard ! Really delicious hokkien mee. Very flavourful sauce. Thought would love it if it's wetter.

The wok hei taste is not as distinct as it used to be, and the wow factor seems to have deteriorated over the years 🤔

Nevertheless, they are pretty generous with their pieces of sotong which were quite big! Their redeeming factor is the spicy chilli which helped to enhance the overall flavour of the noodles. Having said that, it did get quite jelat after a while as it was rather dry! Will stuck to my wet hokkien mee from now on 😁

Saw the boss present so we reckoned the standard should be better. But we were just wrong.
2 plates were served inconsistent, 1 dry and the other wet. The noodles didn’t absorb any of the stock, though it wouldn’t make any difference if it did. B’cos the stock didn’t have much of a taste.
So we left after consuming the prawns. Didn’t wanna waste our calories despite having waste our money on it.

Oysters were really huge and the new style of Hokkien mee is pretty interesting. Though oysters could be slightly fresher, and the taste of XO not as prominent, it's still a good eat. (~$12)

Ordered the medium sized Hokkien mee and fried sotong as a side. Noodles were bland, lacking in ‘wok hei’, Chili not interesting, prawns limp and all came together as a “meh” dish.

Sotong was only so-so.

A miss from the so called Rolex Mee Master, had a better time at his brother’s place.

Overall taste of their Hokkien Mee I'd say ranges from slightly bad to mediocre. They owe their point of redemption to their chilli which was good. The rest of it was just not up to expectations. Disappointing dinner.
