Got the red velvet waffles with cookies and cream, and charcoal waffles with cereal milk ice cream. Among all these (including service) I really only found the cereal milk passable. The waffles were oily soggy and bready. Cookies and cream had an oily after taste. Even with 1 for 1 it wasn't really worth the price, and I won't be back.

The pasta is only worth if you use burpple 1 for 1 in my opinion, because it's not that tasty and the portions are quite small.
The linguine for Spice It Up was a bit gelat especially with the copious amount of oil, but the prawns were quite juicy!
Asian Flush had tomato cream on it which made it quite gelat; I almost couldn't finish it despite the small portion. However it was quite an interesting dish as it had tomato cream, curry leaves and bacon in it.

Also had ice cream after even though we couldn't enjoy burpple 1 for 1 again and had Belgian dark chocolate (rich and creamy!!) and watermelon-calamansi sorbet (a very light and interesting flavour). I think the ice cream is a must try!

Kindred Folk is one of the rare places with both Burpple Beyond and Entertainer 1-for-1 where you can choose to use the deal for Pasta or Dessert. We used the pasta deal, where a single bowl of pasta would usually cost $13.90. This is pretty pricey for a single pasta dish at such a casual cafe, but actually very affordable and worth it after using the deal.

Both the pastas were fantastic as the noodles were done al dense and I loved how firm they were. If you’re a fan of bold flavours, go for the Spice It Up which is a tom yum aglio olio linguine with sautéed prawns. For a slightly muted but aromatic dish, go for the Green Eyed Monster which is penne and chicken breast tossed in a Thai green curry cream sauce. We enjoyed both pastas and will be back to use the other deals too!
