Satisfy your donburi cravings with @kinobe.sg, a humble hawker stall that started way back in Nov 2018 at Amoy Street Food Centre. Catering mainly to the CBD office crowd (but unfortunately not for now😢), their survival against many well-established hawker stalls in AMFC, and of course pulling through this tough times says a lot…😋👍

👉Mentaiko Salmon Don - SGD11
👉Truffle Gyudon - SGD10
👉Chikindon - SGD7

Comes with a generous portion of rice, runny onsen egg, shiitake mushroom(add-on), savoury seaweed strips & spicy shichimi togarashi powder, each donburi shined through in its own way. My personal favourite had to be their Mentaiko Salmon Don! How about yours?😉

Kinobe’s known for their affordable donburi bowls at Amoy and they’ve added new items on the menu. New meats, toppings, and mentaiko! Took away 4 bowls for lunch - mentaiko salmon, pork, smoked duck and chicken. Found the pork slices a touch tough, but the smoked duck and chicken were nicely chunky and tender. Our favourite was the salmon that came in two pretty thick slabs and done just right. Was surprised by how rich the thick mentaiko topping was and they were very generous with it, along with the standard combination of sides of mushrooms, seaweed and an oozy onsen egg.

The don came with a generous serving of flavorful and fatty beef, some shimeji mushrooms, one onsen egg and a sprinkling of seaweed. The sauce paired well with the beef and rice but left the rice slightly too wet for my liking. Miso soup was provided as a free side but was very bland, akin to miso flavored water. 3/5

Heard that they used to just have two dons, and now they extended to much more dons (and crowds!). They mastered how to make the chicken so tender and it goes well with the spicy sprinkle and gooey onsen egg.

$5.50! Came here on meal pal so its a deffo steal

Pretty decent for this price, tho portions are a tad small. Would have appreciated slightly more rice maybe? I also think the chili powder is unnecessary, so I'd ask them to not add it next time round. Would be interested to try their butadon as well.
