@kkokkonara is one of the pioneering restaurants to bring the Korean Fried Chicken trend in Singapore. πŸ—πŸ—πŸ— It's available in 4 flavors but I always go for their Soy Garlic Sauce . Aside from these, they also have other dishes like Japchae, Army Stew - Bu Dae Ji Gae, Bossam, and Seafood Pancake. πŸ₯˜

Will be giving away 1 x $40 voucher that can only be used only at the Tanjong Pagar Branch. πŸ˜ƒ

βœ” Combo fried chicken set* (~$24): This is their signature!!! And absolutely love the yangneom flavour. The original was surprisingly tasty as most of the time the inner bits are blend..but this is not! Thumbs up!
βœ” Tteokbokki ($20): chewy and soft rice cakes with korean ramen. Very authentic taste.
βœ” Chestnut Makgeolli: sweeter than the original and I like it! Cheers!!

2am munchies, and the only places that are open are Korean fried chicken joints. Not that that's a bad thing. I remember Kko Kko Nara being the first place i truly enjoyed Korean-style fried chicken years ago, way before the likes of Chicken Up, 4 Fingers and other imitators.

We got the combo set which comes with original, sweet, garlic flavours. I can't remember much, but I remember it definitely satisfied.

although we ordered a small ($30) it was plenty and very filling

Pork spine stew with potatoes. Deliciously hearty! Broth was savoury with hints of soybean paste and mild heat. Pricey, but there was quite a bit of meat, together with some enoki and sliced shitake mushrooms and sweet potato noodles.
We got rice on the side ($2.50/bowl) which was so mushy 1/4 of the bowl was almost paste 😣

The fried chicken was a tad too salty but still taste pretty good!
However, cheesy chicken galbi wasn’t as good as expected and don’t think its worth the $30. Would have appreciate a bigger portion with more tteokbokki for that price.
Thankfully, their service was pretty good and they provided free-flow iced rice tea.
