Presented in a rather unusual way. With the tempura shrimps on top rather than within the maki itself. Taste is good. Tempura is of the right crunch and rice is nicely marinated encompassing the seaweed, cucumber and avocado.

We also ordered the Wagyu ribeye and Wagyu dumpling. Both were excellent.

The decor at this place itself warrants a visit. Not sure about the price as it’s s birthday treat.

The decor here is stunning and interior looks grand and luxurious. The grand entrance walkway resembles Kyoto’s Fushimi Inari Shrine. With all the extravaganza their mains are actually quite reasonably priced. Sides maybe not, as a sashimi/sushi platter of 9 slices cost $78++ & $88++ respectively. Had Scallion fried rice ($32++) and Wafu Carbonara with Uni ($38++). Portion was decent and I like the fried rice, it’s wet version in sizzling hotpot. Texture is something like Mui fan, in between porridge and fried rice. Seafood/scallops chunks can be found in every mouth yums. As for the Cabonara, you will get what you expected for Cabonara but i’m not a fan of capsicum. Nothing remarkable for the mains if you ask me but this place perfect for celebrating special occasions. Will definitely return to try their sides and other mains.

An interesting combination of green tea sponge , chocolate dusted crispies , chocolate mousse and vanilla ice cream . The flower pot was made of praline 😊.

The whole dessert was consumable ( except the plate of course ).....

Pretty interesting combination .

Koma has such an outstanding ambience - I was swept off my feet the moment i pranced through the Long walkway leading to the restaurant .

Wait till you enter the restaurant - the vibes , lighting and deco will so captivate your heart that food is perhaps , secondary ...

I actually enjoyed this aburi dish - with a fusion undertone of slightly sweet and sour sauce .

Portion was on the smaller side but taste was 101 percent .

Truffle and unagi goes make an irresistible pairing, and it fits well in this Japanese inspired KOMA setting: the finest and most sophisticated Japanese food here. Dining here is like a scene from Pontocho Alley, Kyoto back in the times - dark, mysterious and exquisite.

Love how the ginger honey glaze complemented the salmon's moist texture, giving it a sweet note for a delectable finishing.
