Seriously surprising find, didn’t know it was nestled in the Sime Darby Centre. Ordered this savory waffles because it’s recommended according to quite a few reviews I’ve read and every time was pretty decent. Felt like the waffles could be smaller and chicken could be a little bigger though for a more balanced portion of carbs and meat haha.

I really enjoy my mocha with oat milk. It was smooth and fragrant.

Cafe Kong was surprisingly relatively packed for a weekday breakfast. I was there slightly 9.30ish.

Actually thought the cafe was more interesting cause of the Korean twist to basic brunch items which was nice! Only not so good point was that, which our drinks came fast, our food took quite some time. But I will definitely give this place another shot!

Surprisingly, a good cup of coffee. I like the nutty and cocoa profile of the beans and the milk to espresso ratio was perfect.

Ban Ban Wings ($12 for 4 wings; $21 for 10 wings). We opted for the wings in Spicy & Sticky sauce. Chicken wings were freshly fried and doesn’t get too cloyingly sweet after your first wing. What’s nice is that the sweet and spicy sauce sticks nicely to the wing.

Everything’s here is cooked to order. And I’ll be back to try the Korean food items.

Oh, fried chicken, scrambled eggs and waffles. What an IRRESISTIBLE combination and every element of this dish tastes so good. If you’re in Bukit Timah, check out Kong Cafe.

What caught my eye for this dish is that juicy piece of crispy chicken thigh. It may look small but I can guarantee you that it fills you up fast. The fried chicken was my favourite element of this dish.

You’ll find the waffles are so crispy on the outside while retaining its fluffiness inside. Unlike other places, they use soufflé batter to make it, giving it an eggy taste. And the scrambled eggs were soft, creamy and luscious. Very satisfying.

Don’t forget to drizzle your waffles with some maple syrup. Any fried chicken and waffle fan must try this on their first visit here.

I like how the scrambled eggs looked like they had more whites than yolks. Scrambled eggs were thick and creamy, the with bread with with toasted, and there was a little spice from black pepper.

Tucked cosily in the newly renovated sime darby centre, kong cafe serves korean inspired delights in a minimalistic decorated space. We ordered a spicy ramyeon and soy garlic fried chicken which are homely and belly comforting. The soy garlic wings are sticky sweet goodness that would be enjoyed by kids and non spicy.
