I ordered 2 soft serves – Vanilla Crumble and Nano Yogurt (RM 14/each).

The Nano Yogurt consists of their home made yogurt soft serve with blueberries and granola. There are also Kellogg’s cereal deep into the soft serve. It was pretty refreshing and a perfect choice of dessert after a heavy meal because this was on the more sour-ish side. Vanilla Crumble was ok. It's homemade french vanilla soft serve with Belgium apple thin biscuits but I prefer the Nano Yogurt to be honest.

Overall verdict?
The soft serves at Koone were creamy and smooth, yet not overly sweet which made it very palatable for us. The flavors are also distinct and not overwhelmed by the milky or vanilla-ish taste like some of the softserves in Singapore. But just in case you’re wondering how they make the “smoke”, the soft serves are actually contained in a pretty small cup, with the likes of a small llaollao cup. The dry ice is then dropped into the pink cup that you see in every picture, and the smaller cup containing your soft serve is then placed on top of it. So don’t say I never warn ah!

Just brace yourself if what you ordered doesn't translate to what you revived, such is life. 🍦

The Yuzu used here has a artificial after taste, one does feel cheated, vanilla Soft Serve is too sweet & generally a bad service experience. Okay at least they bothered to use fresh fruits. 🖖🏻

Just for RM 14, you get a cup of reasonable amount of soft serve yogurt, (different flavor such as Matcha,Dark chocolate, Vanilla) with instagrammable design. I love it as it is not too sweet and a delight on a hot sunny day! Worth a visit if you are around visiting the eateries around Japan Dhoby

Watermelon soft serve with caramel popcorn and potato chip! The soft serve is really nice and refreshing! Love the popcorn but not the potato chip that much as it didn't taste that well with the fruity watermelon. Koone is in Johor but it's pretty near the customs! It's at Jalan Dhoby road and there's a lot of cafes around that area! This place it's called Koone and sells soft served with dry ice at the btm! The cafe looks pretty nice and two levels high! Its opposite this place call "it roo" which sells pretty good chicken chops! Check out this website for more info and other cafes!

“The ice-cream isn't that nice lah. It's just damn Instagrammable.”

He really wasn't lying though, despite it being a common yet unspoken sentiment. The vibrant and shapely presentation, coupled with the dramatic smoke show from subliming dry ice beneath the softserve, is absolutely stunning and photogenic. It's a feast for the eyes that is best witnessed in person. I 100% mean it when I say digital visuals don't do it justice.

The taste is passable thankfully - characterisitc flavours of chocolate and matcha were present, though neutral at best. If you're hopping from café to café around JB, consider sharing this. Otherwise, nothing wrong with having it all for yourself!

This comes in three different flavours - Chocolate, Matcha and French Vanilla. I would tell you to choose your flavour carefully, but I mean…you could get all three. I would have done that, but I had lunch before dropping by. 😩 (6.5/10)

KONE sits amongst the cluster of cafes in Jalan Dhoby and it'll be hard to miss KONE if you are there for the famous banana cake or one of the other cafes there. KONE sells just 4 different flavors of soft-serve ice cream: dark chocolate, yogurt, matcha and watermelon. My personal favourite would be the yogurt one which had the perfect balance between sweetness and sourness. It also had an authentic yogurt texture. Matcha and watermelon flavors were also rich and authentic. But the dark chocolate one was slightly lackluster as it wasn't rich enough - perhaps dark chocolate is simply incompatible with 'soft serve' type ice cream as it is light and fluffy by nature - gelato-type ice-cream is probably more suitable.

Plus point: dry ice theatric - they put dry ice below the cup to create a mist which is quite interesting to watch.
