Uncle who fries my fav Hokkien Prawn Mee has left the western food stall and set up his own in the same coffeeshop. More choices available now. I saw fried carrot cake and oyster omelette. This CKT has great wok hei and good seasoning. Spicy level just right. Uncle was there but he wasn’t the one frying, it was a young man.

I ordered my regular fried beef horfun, but discovered they gave me the wrong one when I opened it. Nevertheless, this was really yummy. Great wok hei. The sotong was on the rubbery side but it was fresh and plentiful. Prawns were bouncy. Got slices of fish cake and pork. Quite a lot of liao inside actually. I enjoyed every bite.

I love the egg prata from the Indian stall. The prata was chewy, and the all-important curry was wonderfully spicy. I usually ask for chicken curry. Thick and flavorful. Their fish curry was fantastic as well. Spicy and sour. So delicious that I get cravings for their curry sometimes. These prata make a good lunch for the next day too.

This was fragrant with the smell of sambal and got good wok hei. Not too spicy or too oily. Well seasoned. Just wished there were more eggs inside.

Got these as a by-the-way. They were really good. Crispy and hot. As I bit into a wing, juice dripped out. Not oil, but juice 🤤

Ever since the fried prawn mee at Causeway Point food court closed some years ago, I wasn’t able to find a good one. This was a fabulous find. The western food stall shares the same space with this fried hokkien prawn Mee. Beware the uncle could be a bit curt or brusque. Just order and wait quietly.

The prawn stock used for this was absorbed into the noodles, giving it a beautiful umami flavor. Each mouthful of noodles with gravy was so yummy. The chili was great! Pretty spicy so be careful.
