Too large a slice of pan-fried chicken for two. I didn't say too thick though, because it's very thin. It's also too chewy, which probably explains the long time to eat. If it's crunchy and tender, you can probably pop finish it in no time. That homemade tangy sauce has a really striking taste. Moderate yourself.

Innards and skin are also available, but we chose only the sweet and savoury meats. Gotta love Indonesian satay as it's always generous. These could be more tender, but still good.

Promising menu, disappointing results. This is a signature item combining much of their food - roast meat, char siew, satay, pig ear, siew mai, hae zhor. You get variety over quality. Only satay and hae zhor stood out. Rice was plain and dry (look at the amount of gravy).

Usually comes with the fried beancurd roll but i ask for it to be changed for siobak+Char siew so the portion u see here is slightly more than normal.

Both the Siobak and the Char siew were pretty good, rather smoky with a crisp and nice bite. Siew mai was a bit bland but had water chestnut inside for crunch. The Satay wasnt crispy but it had a nice bite as well, and good marinade that penetrated about halfway in.

The two stunners were the chicken rice (fragrant but not overly oily) and the braised pig ears, which were really soft and had a bit of jelly coating.

The soup was also better than expected, clear as it looked

Definitely try this dish if you're here.

I actually liked this better than the nasi campur! Came with some yummy pickles for that sour kick 😛

For an upmarket Indonesian warung experience, Kota88 is the perfect place to go! The portions are large and value for money (paid < $30 for 2 mains and a drink), and perfect for families.

The nasi campur was delicious with fresh ingredients. The satay stock in particular was impressively flavourful and well-marinated.
