Decided to head to @chinatownpoint_sg for lunch and came across @eatkrapow .

Thereโ€™s many options to choose from their extensive Thai menu. The dishes were reasonably priced and we tried their ๐“๐จ๐ฆ ๐˜๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐’๐ž๐š๐Ÿ๐จ๐จ๐ and ๐๐š๐ ๐“๐ก๐š๐ข ๐‚๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ค๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ.

Their ๐“๐จ๐ฆ ๐˜๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐’๐ž๐š๐Ÿ๐จ๐จ๐ comes in choices of either red or clear, and consists of shrimp and fish. The seafood are not the freshest, but good enough. The tom yom soup was pretty authentic but Iโ€™d wish for stronger flavors and some spice kick.

As for the ๐๐š๐ ๐“๐ก๐š๐ข ๐‚๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ค๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ, the rice noodles are wok-fried with a secret blend of spicy tamarind juice and topped with fresh tofu cube, egg and dried shrimp. Did not try this but it looks pretty good!

The food at @eatkrapow is decent, authentic in flavor and prices are pretty affordable. Though we did not try it, seems like Drunken Noodles are their specialty that youโ€™d wish to give it a try!

After the opening of @eatkrapow at Chinatown, it has become one of our regular lunch venue. Menu here is slightly different and more extensive than the Far East outlet.

Other than Drunken Noodle, Kra Pow is my next favourite dish. On top of common minced pork and minced chicken thigh, they now offer cracking pork belly and tiger prawn with squid. Wok-fried with hot basil garlic, freshly chopped green and red chili, it is served with steamed jasmine rice and a sunny side

As suggest by their name, this is their signature item perfect for solo eater. A wok-fried with hot basil, garlic and freshly chopped green and red chilli, served with steamed jasmine rice and sunny side fried egg.

It can get really spicy so make sure you are up for the challenge. $15

Value for money~ Kra Pow, casual Thai restaurant, has a new and bigger outlet located within Chinatown Point. But as they open just before CB, most might not be aware of this new outlet.

Be sure to order their signature Drunkard Noodles with Pork or Seafood (from $8.90). Flat rice noodles stir-fried with minced pork or seafood, beans, basil, carrots and Thai birds eye chilli. Fiery hot with a distinct wok hei, itโ€™s a taste you'll have to try to believe

Didn't know what to eat at Chinatown point and when I saw that Kra Pow Thai had high ratings on Burpple (the Orchard branch but oh well haha), I immediately decided we're giving it a try! ๐Ÿ˜

We ordered the Basil Pork Rice ($8.90), as well as the Clear Tom Yum Soup ($8.90), Jasmine Rice ($1.50) and a Coconut drink ($6).

The Basil Pork is very well done, fragrant yet juicy, simply deletable! The sunny side up egg was also well executed, it is not overcooked and the yolk remains runny.

The Soup and Jasmine rice is okay, not bad but nothing to shout about.

Coconut drink was sadly quite disappointing... The flesh was very hard but nonetheless, it's juice is still cold and refreshing. Though at this price point, I would expect a better quality coconut.

Overall, very decent eats at an affordable price. There's no service charge or additional GST too which the Singaporean in me greatly appreciates ;)
