Kra Pow Thai Street Food (Far East Plaza)

The familiar addictive flavours I remember are still here - a heady combination of fragrant basil, garlic, and green and red chillies, singeing your tastebuds with a simmering heat. The soya sauce stained pork belly is chunky and fatty, but I was a little disappointed the crackling wasn't...crackly.

Been craving for Thai food for some time now, so here we are at Kraw Pow, a relatively hidden Thai restaurant in the Orchard area. If there's one dish you must get, it has to be the Drunkard Noodle😍! It looks super unassuming, but has so much wok hei🔥! We also loved the use of flat and broad rice noodles, as the sauce really clings on to it, making it super flavourful. It is pretty spicy, but in a good way, hence damn shiok to eat🌶️. Prices are pretty affordable too so we highly recommend this place if you're looking to satisfy your Thai food cravings without burning a hole in your wallet😝!

This is the best dish here - super spicy, savoury and addictive! A must try!

This place surprised me as a hidden gem in Far East Plaza! I really loved the tom yum fried rice and tom yum soup, even if Thai food is not usually my primary go-to cuisine. It had the perfect balance of spiciness and flavor, and could be considered as comfortable food. I will definitely be back with my family again ◡̈

Steamed Tapioca with Salted Coconut ($7): they no longer sell Red Ruby & ran out of Mango Sticky Rice so I had to settle for this! 😂 Liked the firm yet soft texture of the tapioca 🍠, coated with sweet syrup & balanced with the slightly salty coconut milk 🥥. Pretty enjoyable! 🤤
