I came across the gorgeous dessert works of art from @kura.singapore while exploring the Herencia a while ago. Tucked away in a little corner of lifestyle store - Crane Living, my gaze was instantly drawn to the sweet treats that were displayed.

I wanted to try almost everything from Kura, but alas I told myself to chill and get their gift box instead - which included:

◾ Strawberry Cheese
Having seen the block of cheese dessert trend a while ago, I knew I just had to try it. A subtle blend of strawberry guava compote and cream cheese mousse - this block of cheese would even satisfy both Tom and Jerry.

◾La Vie En Rose
The second dessert that caught my eye and that was included in the box was their La Vie En Rose. Damn, that's one pretty looking thing and it was devastating to have to destroy it. Who knew a rose could be comprised of sea salt dark chocolate and milk chocolate.

◾Key Lime Tart
I absolutely love the combination of sweet and sour - lemon meringue being one of my favourite flavours. The Key Lime Tart was pretty much the little brother of Lemon Meringue but was just as good and almost identical in flavour profiles.

◾Mango Citrus
The most delicate dessert of the box is their Mango Citrus. Delicious mousse with fresh mango, grapefruit and lime zest - it was as refreshing as summer.

Well, now I know The Herencia could house such a hidden gem of a patisserie and I'll definitely love to try more from Kura if I'm ever in the area again.

Kopi Cream | Grand Marnier Caramel | Orange | Chocolate Tart

I was surprised and delighted by the layers and flavours uncovered as I ate. Some chocolate tarts can taste quite one dimensional but this had so many layers and textures - choc tart base, bittersweet choc ganache, frangipane?, caramel, kopi cream, orange marmalade, choc glaze, crunchy cocoa nibs - that kept it interesting that I had no trouble at all finishing one by myself. The tart was decadent, yet not cloyingly rich with the flavours working harmoniously together.

Already planning on getting this again before they take it off the shelves.

Don't be fooled by the rose - it's actually a dessert by @kura.singapore that is made out of sea salt chocolate, dark chocolate cream and cacao nibs. A hidden gem located in The Herencia, Kura offers up artisan dessert art that's too pretty to eat.

Even though it was simply too gorgeous to cut into - alas, it's time had come for me to dig into it. A mix of smooth sea salt chocolate and dark chocolate on top a tart base, the bittersweet flavours complemented one another while the cacao nibs added another dimension of crunch for texture.

This rose is definitely meant to be shared though - it's richness proved too much for even my own sweet tooth!

The Berry filling didnt go well together, we didn't finish the cake. The chestnut isn't too sweet which is great but overall i tasted more of the berry filling.

Quite disappointed as i remember my first visit left me with a better impression.. perhaps they have hits and misses.

Tasted good at first but left a dry sour taste in the mouth, we had to take a drink to wash off the taste. Tart crust had a good bite though!
