From the Burpple community

Rice was nice with the gravy and egg! Slightly moist n tasted superb!😊

Came on a weekday evening. Hardly any people! Small and nicely decorated place! Ordered Pork katsu don and boy was it crispy and taste quite goodπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜Š

Note: Burpple 1-1 deal can only be redeemed upon purchase of 2 Don + 2 Full Pint. Good deal total about $16-18 per person! We chose to top up with yakitori. Final bill about $20+ each.😊

These are full dons, which were very generous in my opinion. The Mayo karaage Don was surprisingly the best one among the bowls, the chicken was tender and juicy even though it was deep fried. Nice space, I might come around again if dining in is allowed.

Don't miss this newly opened izakaya joint near Berseh Food Centre! Their menu might be small but they make it up with their value-for-money donburis. Priced affordably at $14.90, their Unagi Don was "adequately savoury & sweet teriyaki glaze" which "envelopes the half fillet of freshwater eel, and the simple yet savoury unagi shares the bowl space with an explosive onsen egg & some rice" and had Burppler Russell Leong thoroughly impressed. Other must orders include the Chicken Yaki Don ($14.90) and Mayo Karaage Don ($13.90). Finish off your meal with a pint of beer.

Along Jalan Besar there’s this Japanese restaurant with beer bar, just opened recently near to Berseh Food Centre under a guest house.

They have an air-conditioned outdoor space where you could admire the sky while having your food, bites and drink.

Although I see most people came here for the beer and bar bites, but they also have some decent Japanese foods here.

The unagi don was done pretty well marinated, together with pickled and boiled egg. $14.90+

large unagi don: unagi is really soft and delicious! however not the biggest fan of the consistency of the eggs as it was slightly overcooked and not runny
large pork don: above average dish but same comments about the eggs. overall, i thought both portions were a bit small for a large don

*do note that the 1 for 1 drinks are only for alcohol!
