It is assorted deep fried skewers with a special sauce to pair with. The sauce in the restaurant is usually meant for sharing, so double dipping is not allowed. Thus, they provide fresh raw cabbage for you to dip if you need more sauce.
Very similar to tempura but the batter is less crispy and the sauce is the highlight for this dish. Taste similar to ponzu sauce, sweet and citrusy.
Daruma is a major Kushikatsu chain in Osaka. I think this will be great to pair with beer.
