Visited the place spontaneously and enjoyed their 1 for 1 promo. Ordered the seafood set and it wasn’t greasy even after finish an entire tray. Perfect for groups.

Serving up autumn seasonal special kushikatsu is @kkt.sg! Apart from that, they have autumn-inspired appetisers & drinks to compliment the new items!
.
One of my favourites was the Surume Ika Butter Yaki ($8) aka Miso Butter Squid! Sliced & pan-fried is cooked in miso butter which perfectly coats every single piece, which is amazing!
.
For the kushikatsu, my fav would be the Bacon Mochi Kushikatsu ($2/stick)! Think juicy savoury fatty bacon, wrapped around a soft & chewy mochi & keep fried. The combination makes it an addictive pop of flavour!
.
Head down soon as these items will only be available till mid-December!

Thank you @brandcellar for the invite! ✨

Was told last min that the restaurant will be closed due to unforeseen circumstances on the day of my reservation. I was surprised when they offered me cash vouchers and I ended up only paying for half the bill! Great ambience, great food and excellent service. Love the DIY tako balls too. Would definitely recommend this place!

Enjoy their signature golden fried skewers along with a Shikuwasa Lemon Sour or Okinawa Sling Highball πŸ‹πŸΊ
.
Super love the fried egg skewer where the yolk is still soft & slightly runny 🐣

Other items in the Okinawa Fair menu includes okinawa-style grilled pork spare ribs, umi budo (okinawa 'sea grapes'), okinawa mozuku (seaweed) & taco salad 🐷

A really great place to just chill & relax with your friends on the weekends or after work 😌

My dining partner and I made takobabies! :) we decided to go for the original tako set. ($10)

The set came with an oiled takoyaki griddle pan, enough pre-measured batter for 9 takoyaki balls, a bowl of red ginger and 9 pieces of tako. First, we poured the batter and let it solidify sufficiently before placing a piece of tako and some ginger in the center of the hole in the griddle pan. After the batter had solidified significantly, the staff showed us how to flip the takobaby with sticks so the other side could cook.

Our takobabies came out slightly overdone and misshapen, but we loved them all the same. After they had cooled down slightly I dressed them with sauce (they paired fantastically with kushikatsu sauce) and popped them in my mouth. The outside was slightly crispy before giving way to a soft and silky inside with a crunch from the tako. The red ginger was a surprisingly important element as it gave the takoyaki a refreshing tang.

All in all, an enjoyable experience in a cosy restaurant which exuded traditional Japanese vibes. I adore KKT's concept and definitely appreciate what it brings to the Clarke Quay dining scene.

We ordered the Meaty 5 ($10), Seafood 5 ($13.20) and the Vegetable 5 ($8.40). It was quite difficult to identify what the meat was because everything was 1 color. But a definite highlight for me was the unagi kushikatsu, which was tender and flavorful beneath the layer of crisp breadcrumbs. My dining partner favored the cheese and ham kushikatsu.

I liked how the skewers were served piping hot and and the batter was crispy but not greasy. It really was the perfect deep fried skewer. It went well with their special sweet and salty sauce. Rolling a skewer in the chiritori cheese nabe sauce resulted in a delicious, flavorful bite.

I was quite grateful for the bowls of cabbage they provided. Dipping them in the sauce provided a refreshing palate cleanser and allowed us to savor the skewers more slowly rather than wolfing all of them down at once. My dining partner and I went through 3 bowls of the cabbage leaves easily.

After seeing the amazing #cheesepulls on social media, I had to try this hotpot-esque dish where meat and veggie is piled on a pan and served with boiling stock. KKT's version ($19) came with a choice of chicken, pork or beef and I chose chicken. I was impressed by the huge mountain of mozzerella cheese atop chicken cubes. The fire on the gas stove was turned on and the cheese slowly melted into the nabe, resulting in a viscous, umami sauce studded with onions that my dining partner and I eagerly wrapped the chicken with.

The chicken was flavorful and well cooked and went well with the sauce. Side note: remember to stir the nabe as the cheese is melting, otherwise the cheese will congeal at the bottom and burn, which is what happened to us.

According to the menu the cheese peiyaki is a unique flavour to Osaka. This is like a thin omelette with spring onions, cheese and okonomiyaki sauce. I thought the cheese in this wasn’t very distinct though, I would have liked more cheese in this.

The dish was serviced like that and we made them into rice balls with a plastic glove they gave us. This was really tasty and fun to make too!

You get to choose if you want the regular potato salad or the mentaiko version. You mix if on your own and depending if you want chunky or mashed so you get to adjust it yourself too!

The cheese nabe with beef has a rich flavour and this was very tasty. You get to choose from beef, pork or chicken. The beef was tender and the sauce goes well with their kushikatsu too!

Dining here was such a fun and interactive experience. Instructions were given on how to make the takoyaki and we got to try making it on our own. The takoyaki batter was really tasty and went very well with cheese added inside it πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

It is indeed rather expensive but I have to say that it's worth every single cent. The Japanese are without a doubt the most meticulous people as I managed to glimpse at the behind the scenes of these popular skewers; well perks of sitting at the bar table. They would time the skewers painstakingly just to ensure that it's fried golden brown and that it's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. With that, you can literally taste the freshness of the seafood!! A must order for seafood lovers!

To be frank, I didn't have much expectations for this because most tamago taste rather similar. However, this one surpasses my expectations the minute I took a bite and I was blown away from how tender the tamago was and how the cheese was nicely incorporated in. It felt whole somehow and it was so soft that it breaks easily when you use a pair of chopsticks. Definitely coming back for this and really guys this guy is just way too underrated!!

I ordered this out of curiosity as it reminded me of the same dish I had when I was in Osaka. The taste was very close to the one I had back then only that the tako could be cut into smaller pieces so that it could be more chewy and the wasabi taste could be more prominent. Overall, it was a very good attempt!

This doesn't look too appetising because takoyaki is a lot harder to make than it looks or so I figured out the hard way. Even so, I would recommend this if you are huge on DIY as there is a instruction sheet that comes along with the dish. Overall, the final product tasted really well as the exterior was a little charred and crispy and the interior soft! Do remember to make a reservation if you are thinking of going for dinner as the seats get snapped up really quickly!
