There's a minimum order of 1 item per customer, so we ordered a drink to share in addition to our pancakes. Prices here are on the steeper side, with their souffle pancakes being 18,000 won for the plain ones and the flavoured ones being 23,000 won and above. Drinks are also all al~8,000 won.

Tried the omija tea previously at another cafe and fell in love with it. They don't have the option of just the tea itself, so we settled for the ade (fruit soda) version instead. It was a little too sweet though, and i think the tea tastes much better non-carbonated 😅

Heard about people having to queue almost an hour or more for their famous souffle pancakes, so we decided to be kiasu singaporeans and arrived at the cafe just when they opened so we were the first customers of the day 😅 Even then, we had to wait about a good 30mins for our souffle pancakes, which were prepared fresh upon order. When our pancakes arrived, we were urged by the waitress to "eat quick" so i made do with a few quick shots 😹

Ordered their injeolmi instead of the more popular strawberry soufflé as i thought it was a more unique offering that you can find only in korea.

There was a thin mochi-like layer which i had thought was korean rice cake, but was slightly salty and tasted like cheese instead. Anyhow, it worked nicely with the pancakes, providing a counterbalance to the sweetness of the cream.

The pancakes were thick, fluffy and so jiggly (definitely boomerang-worthy) and had quite a distinct eggy fragrance to them rather than being bland and tasteless. In terms of the textures, the pancakes were definitely soft and fluffy, and the mini tteok being delightfully chewy😍

While almost everyone here went for the Strawberry flavour, I was glad that I had chose this Injeolmi flavour, which may not be as aesthetically appealing but was definitely worth the 30 minutes wait, surpassing my expectations! 💕 Till date the BEST soufflé pancakes I’ve ever had in Seoul (@paulinpancake would have been on par if not for my recent disappointing experience with a raw, underbaked pancake😿). Sandwiched between these two soft, fluffy and wobbly soufflé pancakes comes a pleasant surprise of thin mochi layer that carries off a piquant cheesy flavour, a subtle lingering pleasant tings of saltiness that complemented the other sweet elements, coupled with a soft and chewy mouthfeel. Topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, the pancakes are also served with Injeolmi rice cake, cream that’s dusted with roasted soybean (Injeolmi) powder. Usually not a fan of cream but the one here is really light, with a smooth melt-in-the mouth texture, along with a lingering fragrance that made it a compatible companion to the soufflé pancakes. The addition of Injeolmi powder and mochi was a pleasant delight with its aromatic roasted flavour that’s distinctively prominent here and most importantly, the soufflé pancakes was baked to an ideal fluffy perfection, cotton-like and light where consuming one portion all by yourself is no challenge at all, which I think I might even be able to have 3 all by myself for a meal 🤭 .

[PS: Long queues is inevitable during weekends, and even on a Friday afternoon I had to queue for 20 minutes. But no regrets though, and there’s even a complimentary cup of hot fruit tea for all queueing customers waiting in line 👍🏻 Do head down early or perhaps on a weekday if you wish to avoid (longer) queues! ✨] .

and when these babies finally reached our table, we devoured them within 5 min just because they were incredibly soft, fluffy and had a melt-in-your-mouth texture! 💯 there were plenty of strawberries 🍓 tucked between the two Soufflé pancakes and they were all extremely sweet! 🍭 Please visit @dongbaek_official if you’re in Seoul!

PS thank you @mysweetlittletooth for the recommendation! 👾

Everyone comes for the strawberry souffle pancakes, but we took things a little classic with just the basic pancakes with an additional vanilla ice cream, in addition to the matcha and strawberry pancakes.
This was our favorite of the three. Thankfully, it does live up to the hype with wobbly light yet fluffy texture. The pancakes carry a whiff of the eggy aroma and is accentuated by the silky light whipped cream. At nearly $22 for the basic, and more for those with toppings, going with the simple yet delish classic ain’t bad at all.
