Difference in temperature of each handcrafted sushi (cold fish, warm rice) made it all tastier.
The best Saba Fish Sushi I’ve ever had in Singapore comes from this kitchen. Truly excellent.

This is the first time we didn’t manage to snag counter bar seats here at Kyoten and dang it sure made a difference.
Meal still tasted great!
Make mental notes to reserve counter seats if you’re getting the omakase menu, the chefs are more well versed with what they are serving and the temperature of each nigiri sushi will be extra delightful (think chilled sashimi on warm rice).
Details that matter.

Every now and then you come across a restaurant that you really like and you struggled to leave a review - fearing that it gets even harder to get a reservation? Kyoten is one of such restaurants imo.

Their lunch Omakase is really worth it. Especially love their sushi. It comes with generous uni, chutoro and otoro sushi.

Flip over the pillowy soft egg covering the entire surface of the bowl, and you'll find a whole unagi hidden beneath. It's premium unagi from Kagoshima. Little sauces are used, so the natural sweetness of the unagi shines. All it took was Chef Anson's skillful and meticulous grill over binchotan, and you get this bowl that's comforting and luxurious at the same time.
