This popular Ban mian stall at Geylang was very crowded when I visited on a Friday dinner night.

Their soup version is more popular as cannsee around 80% of the diners having the soup version.

I personally prefer dry version my ban mian. And the dry version here is also very good. What I like is their homemade chilli, their homemade minced meat chunks and their ikan bilis.

The star for me is their ikan bilis.

Noodles were rather QQ(bouncy).

Definitely my top 5 Ban Mian I have eaten.

📍L32 Handmade Noodles, Geylang📍
Had a super satisfying bowl of Ban Mian at Geylang for lunch🍜. The noodles here are handmade, with a good bite. You can choose from Mee Hoon Kueh, Ban mian and U-mian and our favourite is the Mee Hoon Kueh! Lots of ways to customise your Ban Mian as well, as you can get the one with pork🥩 or meatball, even fishball and fish slices🐟 as well! But our favourite is still the one with pork, a classic option! It was super hot in the afternoon and we were sweating buckets while slurping down the Ban Mian, but no regrets honestly~ 🥵

L32's handmade noodles are always served al dente with a good bite and springy texture.

For those who love spicy food, their chilli sauce packs a nasty fiery kick which leave you craving for more!

Located in the heart of Geylang, L32 Handmade Noodles serve some of the best ban mian in town.

The soup is a comforting and rich broth topped with minced meatballs, a runny egg, vegetables and ikan bilis.

I used to find their soup a little too salty for my liking but they seem to have reduced it a little since my last visit years ago to make this a wonderful yet pleasant bowl of soup broth.

Good bowl of ban mian Malaysian style with sayur manis and ikan bilis. If you order dry noodles, give the noodles a good toss when it arrives because it will clump up soon enough after you take your photos.

I like the soya sauce they use but wish they had a chilli sauce to match. They only have this chilli sauce for dipping. I also like that they added an egg into the soup but the glutton in me wished they didn’t make use choose between prawns, minced meat, sliced fish and meatball.

All in all, a bowl of ban mian that deserves to be in Top 5.

We were hunting for cheap eats in the Geylang area and we chanced upon L32 Handmade Noodles, which seemed like a really popular stall that has been receiving rave reviews! When we reached on a weekday evening, the coffee shop was somewhat crowded and we had to wait for a few minutes to get an empty table. You may have to wait for a longer period on weekends since the coffee shop really isn't that big to begin with.

While the stall sells handmade noodles in both the dry and soup versions, we decided to go for the soupy ban mian as we wanted something warm for a rainy day. We ordered the meatball version (~$5.00), which comes with a generous serving of ban mian, 6 meatballs, minced pork and a large amount of ikan bilis and fried onions.

The ban mian was slightly chewy and doughy, and we really loved that texture as it felt like authentic hand-pulled flour noodles. Don't worry though, as the noodles are not chewy to the point where they are hard to eat. Meatballs were decent too and the fried ikan bilis really gives the dish some flavour.

The highlight was really the soup, however, as it was pretty light and doesn't taste overly salty like that in most handmade noodle stalls. In fact, we thought the soup was mildly sweet - perhaps it has been simmered with seafood such as prawns for a while? In any case, we thought the dish was an especially comforting meal for a rainy day!
