This is truly deserving of the fanfare and the 30-40 mins queue at Geylang lor 32. The handmade noodles taste so homely and a world apart from all other banmian. Simple doughy strands that are bouncy and coated with their just right savoury sauce. Special shout out to their extra crispy ikan bilis and egg in soup.

A feast in a simple bowl (ps. GOAT - greatest of all times)

A pretty good place for banmian! While I wasn’t wow-ed by it, it was still a delicious bowl of noodles. The noodles were soft but still retained a bite, and were coated in a black sauce that wasn’t too heavy. The ikan bilis and fried shallots provided extra flavour! Also, there was a generous serving of lean pork slices and minced meat, which isn’t very common in banmian stalls. Another highlight was the egg drop soup, rounded up the meal. Would definitely return to try other variations!

Good ban mian’s are aplenty but a memorable one is like a needle in a haystack — the one here is exactly that.

Everything about this bowl was executed to a tee — from the springy noodles, deceptively simple yet complex broth, crisp anchovies, fresh and tender chicken, there was really nothing to complain about this. Even the cut chilli was not run-of-the-mill; they came sitting in a garlicky soy sauce dip that complemented the noodles really well. Would certainly come back again!

The most springy noodles everrr! Not starchy like many other ban mians. The chicken was so tenderrr!! And the mala - additional $1 for that scoop or mala paste - makes everything so much better! The soup was something special too, it wasn't tasteless and had an egg in it ...it was just good. Then the chilli was something special too! A little sweet and sour and garlicky but still spicy! This is definitely a must try for all spicy food lovers 🤤🤤🤤🔥🔥🔥
Total price: $5.50

Nice sweet sauce coating Noodles with a firm chewy bite. Generous ingredients too. What surprised me was the super thick and flavourful soup thats clearly different from other ban Mian stalls, as it's made with Fish. Worth a try just for the soup, but the chili was standard

Since this came highly recommended by foodies @alldecked and @veronicaphua, I knew I was missing out.
Finally made my way there (weekday 3pm, no queue yesss!), ordered the soup version despite the hot weather, but was still souper satisfied. Their meat+veg is to noodle ratio is quite literally 1:1 and, for 4.3bucks a bowl, that’s a real steal.
At L32, their eggs are cracked into your bowl before they ladle piping hot soup over (unlike most other joints who boil their eggs together with the soup) which results in an onsen-type egg white and very runny yolk. Thoroughly enjoyed the thickeness of their noodles, and the simple but tasty white pepper seasoning on their lean meats.
I’d say, as good as my favourite BanMian joint in Toa Payoh Blk 186. Can’t wait to come back for the dry version!
