Found this small bakery shop along Erksine Road, just located beside Maxwell Food Centre. Which you would peek upon the glass door and greet with range of pastries on display.

It seems like many people came here for their signature Salmon Mentaiko Croissant.

Not an ordinary croissant here with pieces of smoked salmon inside this flaky layers of texture. The mentaiko cream on the top of it added more umami to the overall taste.

The Spicy Crabby Croissant ($4.50) comes with a sweet and spicy mayo crab filling that delivered a kick. The croissant is light and fluffy, but I wished I requested for it to be warmed up as it would be been even better. The croissant is pretty big and at $4.50, this is quite a steal!

Was recommended this croissant as it was considered one of customers’ popular choice. The croissant itself was decent — sufficiently buttery. I did think that the amount of smoked salmon was pretty measly, and while the mentaiko atop was pretty creamy, I would’ve appreciated having more of it.

I liked the idea of the mini loaf and how accessible it was for people who can’t finish huge loaves. However, this mini babka was pretty disappointing. I personally thought that the texture was tough, and could afford to be lighter and fluffier. The chocolate parts were sparse, and the amount of chocolate could’ve have also been greater to encapsulate the key element of sweet braided bread. The crunchy streusel was also not very crunch as well :( Perhaps I expected too much for wanting my babka to be decadent and luxurious in terms of ingredients.

Walked past this new bakery and decided to check it out because the bakes on display at the glass window looked v nice! And when I opened the door the smell was inviting as well so that was a good sign :) Fav thing was the babka! It had a crunchy sweet streusel top, was quite soft and fluffy inside, not dense at all! There wasn't a lot of choc filling within the braid, but I liked that because it wasn't too rich/heavy.

Raisin orange muffin was q moist, texture was decent. The cream cheese filling had tiny cubes of dried orange, but it was a small blob of filling so there wasn't much orangey flavours throughout the muffin. The muffin actually tasted a bit like a scone (the flavour, not texture :p) for some reason? The raisins were quite juicy sweet, but they all congregated at the bottom of the muffin. Still a pretty nice muffin that I wouldn't mind having again.

The choc lava muffin had a similar texture, and the chocolate filling wasn't v sweet but could afford to be darker. But unfortunately this muffin had a slight astringent / baking soda taste :/ My sis and I are usually slightly more sensitive to the astringent taste, so maybe it's just us haha.

Overall a rather pleasant experience, the bakers there were also rather friendly. Will be back to try their croissants!

[chocolate lava croissant $4]💯 The size of croissants are really huge btw hence I personally think it’s quite decently price for the location and ingredients used!🙌
