La Nonna, meaning “The Grandmother” in Italian, serves traditional Italian country cuisine, much like what grandma would usually prepare in an unpretentious and inviting Trattoria atmosphere. The La Nonna pizza includes a runny egg in the middle which unfortunately hardened on the journey home. This is thus one of the foods that should really only be enjoyed when dining-in.

Throwback to this cozy Italian restaurant at Holland Village! Stepping into La Nonna is like stepping into a quaint, authentic eatery -- after all, La Nonna means 'grandmother' in English. This place serves all kinds of comfort food. | I ordered a smoked salmon pizza which was all kinds of wonderful with rocket salad, and an adventurous squid ink pizza. The squid ink wasn't as tasty as the smoked salmon, which really outshined the other. | .

Lobster filled Ravioli with Arrabbiata sauce and fresh herbs.

This ravioli was amazing! The sweetness of the Arrabbiata sauce goes really well with the savouriness of the lobster. The Ravioli had just the right texture and bite to it! Will be a great choice for those of your who love your Ravioli’s.

The Linguine Al Granchio ($26++) is a staple in my meals at La Nonna. However, I found my most recent plate a little different from how it used to be - the arrabiata sauce was much thinner, with almost a soup-like consistency. It was heavy on the herbs but lacked the natural sweetness of crab. The generous addition of garlic and roasted tomatoes made the dish more palatable, I much prefer the older rendition!

Have had many plates of pasta at La Nonna, and their handmade pasta wins me over every single time! Their lunch time 1-for-1 promotion is a huge draw too. This plate of Pappardelle Coda de Blue ($28++) features a simple tomato sauce seasoned with rosemary. The oxtail ragout was extremely tender and fell apart easily. It’s a little on the salty side, but each mouthful was a burst of flavour!!

Yum??? Not the best tiramisu around but definitely above average! Love the lightness of the mascarpone cream layer interspersed with light bits of sponge cake! 🤤🤤 Would have preferred a stronger liquor taste, but this was definitely a very nice way to end the meal 👍🏻👍🏻
