Came across their posts on this item whilst scrolling through social media and thought it sounded pretty intriguing — the last time when I found myself being interested in one of their limited-time only Mille Crepe offerings was for the Chocolate Truffle Mille Crepe; an item that deceptively sounded as though it was chocolate-on-chocolate, but turned out to be a truffle-infused affair that was really different from expectations.

The Popcorn Mille Crepe (available only up to end June 2022) is essentially “Lady M's iconic crepes layered with a buttery popcorn cream, topped with ganache made from blond chocolate with rich notes of caramel finished with a ring snow sugar and golden caramel popcorn”. Just like what one would have expected from the Mille Crepes from Lady M, the Mille Crepe itself holds up pretty well to slices from the fork — something that not all Mille Crepes from other establishments are able to achieve. The Mille Crepes come with alternate layers of crepes and popcorn-infused cream; not only was the cream lightly buttery as what was described, but it does come with bits of popcorn that gives a bit of a bite for a variance of textures. The Popcorn Mille Crepe comes topped off with a layer of blond chocolate — something close to a white chocolate ganache but infused with caramel; still pretty controlled where sweetness is of concern. Topped off with popcorn and dusted with a ring of snow sugar for a dreamy touch, the popcorn bits were a little bit less crisp as what one would have expected — perhaps due to the Mille Crepe being stored in the chiller for an extended period of time after being delivered from a central kitchen. Overall, probably something that Lady M Mille Crepe lovers might want to look into trying considering how this is a limited time-only item.

Made it a point to head down to their outpost at South Beach Tower this time round instead of going to the one at Westgate which I had visited for the Chocolate Truffle Mille Crepe — service and environment of the South Beach Tower is still definitely better whilst it is also less buzzy as their flagship outlet at Orchard Central; still the outlet of choice to return to dine-in whenever I crave for their cakes.

Ordered the Checkers ($11) as it seems unique and it was quite ordinary. Chocolate layer on top and sponge cake that was arranged like how a cheeseboard is like (similar to rainbow cake). For creativity, it was good but tastewise it was normal.

My friend ordered the Coffee Mousse & Chocolate Cake which taste better

Was honestly expecting a lot from Lady M due to the rave and good reviews. However, I had the earl grey mille crepe and it was quite mild-tasting. Perhaps, I am not a fan of mille crepe cakes, but the layers of crepe and cream were really impressive!

Hadn't had a Mille Crepe from Lady M for quite a while; the launch of their Champagne Mille Crepe definitely got me quite intrigued. Featuring Strawberry-accented pastry cream, handmade crepes, and French champagne gelee, the Champagne Mille Crepe is pretty much a notch above their usual Mille Crepe offerings even in terms of price, costing $16++ per slice. Essentially a fancier version of their signature Original Mille Crepe, the Champagne Mille Crepe carries the same consistency in terms of texture; a very tightly-packed crepe cake that feels well-integrated — every slice with the fork comes off neatly without the different layers sliding away from each other, which is something I utterly enjoy with Lady M's mille crepes. Otherwise, the soft champagne gelee over the top provides a light boozy note almost akin to that of sparkling rose, and the tartness of the strawberry pastry cream helps to cut through those notes to strike a balance for a clean finish — very fitting for the festive season indeed.

My family and I were gobsmacked by this indulgent treat from @ladymsg.
Famed for their mille crĂŞpe cakes, it looks like they have pulled out all stops with this seasonal creation.
In between the immaculate layers of delicate crepes is strawberry-scented cream that is fragrant and light. Spread across the top in a thick layer are jelly “crystals” made from pure French champagne so distinctly potent, we all could taste the alcohol in them.
If you are looking for a cake this festive season—be it a gift, or to take along to a potluck gathering, or to spoil yourself with—I highly recommend this beautiful mille crêpe creation. It applies the eternally chic “strawberry and champagne” combination in a very divine and very delectable style.

vegan dark chocolate tart // $11.50 // gluten-free chocolate tart with a dark chocolate ganache filling, salted caramel sauce (supposedly) and topped with cacao nibs. love me a good vegan dessert, and this one was done spectacularly!! could taste hints of coconut in the tart base, and it was of a softer cookie texture (ie: not crunchy and more crumbly). it paired well with the dark chocolate ganache, which tended more towards a bitter side. couldn’t really taste/see any of the salted caramel sauce layer that was described in the menu, but the flavourful notes of the chocolate ganache and tart base left me more than satisfied. gluten free so less carbs??? hMMM

checkers cake // $9.50 // cheap thrills but the checkboard appearance of this cake with the alternating squares of vanilla and chocolate cake made me so excited and i just had to get a slice for myself!! it looked like a simple cake of chocolate and vanilla sponge with a vanilla chantilly cream, but it was so much more!! the cake was so light and fluffy, yet still managed to be packed with intense flavour notes and when eaten together with the layer of soft cream and thick dark chocolate ganache (which was more on the sweet side, unlike the ganache used in the tart), it sparked so much joy on my palate!!!!!
