(Large Size- $5) Finally tried their prawn mee after almost 4 months lol because of long queue for waiting time to order. I didn't really like to queue alone too long but then saw the queue was really short compared to the other days . The ingredients for prawn mee such as prawn itself, sliced pork meat and also fish cake was really freshly made daily. The soup broth for prawn mee was not that thick as I thought of and quite thin texture. I order soup version instead of dry because I didn't really like spicy version tbh and also self servicing to add chili powder as their powder really spicy.
Chanced upon this prawn noodle stall with a long queue during my visit to Pek Kio food centre and decided to join the queue. There was already a long queue early in the morning before the sun was up.
The basic bowl of prawn noodles includes prawns, lean meat, fishcake and bean sprout with a choice of noodle which I chose to have a mix of bee hoon and yellow noodle.
The prawns were fresh and juicy which complemented the noodles with spicy and tasty chilli sauce. The dry version comes with a small bowl of broth that is slightly herbal, sweet and rich in flavour. Perhaps itβs worth another try for their soup version on another visit γ$3
This underrated food centre deserve more shout out! There are so many yummy food in this area and this is one of the best prawn mee! I am a huge fan of prawns and this bowl of noodles is easily in my top 5 list for prawn noodles! Love this nostalgic feel of this food centre!ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Was actually quite surprised to find mee kia available at a prawn mee stall and decided to give it a try. I got the $3 portion and it was pretty substantial. The noodles were nice and springy and prawns were very fresh! The soup is definitely an important element, and it was good, with abundant flavour coming from the prawn heads and pork ribs that were used to make the broth.
Hands down the most value for money prawn mee Iβve come across. Originally wanted to eat Wah Kee but was enticed by the snaking queue at Lai Hiang - good thing we decided to switch stalls! The chilli in the prawn mee packs a punch and portions are generous for the price point.
Prawn π¦ Mee θ¦ιΊ΅ (S$3)
As itβs 2pm, the stιΊ΅all has only prawn π¦ noodle left. No more pork ribs.
Just make the best out of it since itβs my first meal of the day after surviving the day in the clinic since Iβm the first patient of the day.
Itβs actually tasted not bad especially the savoury broth.
