Established in 1975 by Ah Lam, this heritage hawker has since expanded with 8 outlets across Singapore.

Never one to rest on their laurels, Ah Lam and team have continued to refine their recipes and create new ones, such as when they introduced their signature salt-baked chicken in 2011.

The medium sized chicken thigh is juicy and succulent, with a delicate salty savoury sweet flavour. The salt-bake has infused the chicken, but I wish it was slightly more salty / had been baked longer... though this will still please most.

The mixed rice features a base of fragrant earthy savoury yam rice, with chunks of tender yam / taro. Garnished with cabbage, dried sausage, and a cherry tomato. Big, bold, earthy savoury saltt flavours here.

Usually go to Lam's Noodle at Parkway Parade for bcm fix - $4.80 for a bowl + $1 for additional minced pork. This branch seems to give slightly less noodles than the PP branch, but the chilli/vinegar ratio was great and the noodle texture was springy and firm. Soup was good too. Lam's BCM is definitely in my top 5 BCM list!

$6.90 for hawker food but well it's Orchard for a reason right? Nevertheless YUMMY IN MY TUMMY👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Wow 😳 it came with Japanese Egg 日本糖心蛋 (S$1.90) with lava yolk.
Do you know that it's noodles is specially made locally with Japanese flour in it? That's why it tasted slightly different from the usual noodles.
