Price was really reasonable cause we came on a Friday dinner. The staff here were really nice and the uncles and aunties were pleasant. Thumbs up for them.

The food was okay... nothing fantastic. We were quite surprised to see slices of salmon being offered but that ran out really quickly and was replaced by pepperoni slices instead. Prawns were small sized, they were ok. Soup for the hotpot was really flavourful. Meat was well marinated, for example the black pepper pork belly slices did the trick for me.

Overall was a very greasy experience (it is mookata la after all) and you can make it a better experience by buying a lime juice tower from the drinks store aunty at $6.90 (that’s 1.5L! Really worth, and you can share around with your friends throughout the meal). Didn’t eat too much cause it takes time to cook and there’s not much cooking space on a mookata for 90 minutes. Don’t come here expecting to eat a lot, but it’s fine for a cheap buffet-mookata experience. Will only come back with Burpple.

19.90 net with burple 1-1
No drinks nor fruits
Food is ok but not cet probably nor enough variety. Quality is as what you can expect from $10 buffet.

Nice if you know how to do bbq and hotpot well.

After taste so so

Just had a super value for money Steamboat/BBQ with Burpple beyond at Lao Dong Bei BBQ, located in Chinatown Food Street.

For 19.90 (Mon-Thurs) and 22.90 (Fri-Sun) nettttt, per pax only cost 9.95/11.45!!! What a steal ayeee. It was pretty crowded for us on a Friday night but i was satisfied.

went on a saturday night and there was alot of people but we still managed to get a seat!! I really like the concept as it is open spaced and the staff there are very generous with their portions. Weekend was only $22.90 for 2 pax and u get to fill yourself up as much as you want. All the food was nice but some of them like the tofu and meatball was quite fishy? I think they left it out for too long.. But overall it was really an affordable and right atmosphere to have bbq buffet there!!

Went on a wed night, wasn’t v crowded but they were 80% full. Service crew was great, they check in often to see if you need to top up your soup or have any dishes to clear.

Good variety, but the ingredients wasn’t as luxurious as the shown in the burrple post (scallops, squid & seafood in general were subpar quality) but hey I’m not complaining for a $10pp buffet. Meat-wise, it’s either original or mala flavoured beef, chicken, pork and lamb. I liked the mala which was slightly numbing but flavour packed. Other selections such as veggies and proceed foods were normal. The soup was flavourful, but might a tad bit too heavy on the msg.

It is an outdoor seating, tables are well spread out and there is a 90min time limit.

Ratings:
Taste 7/10
Value 10/10
I will only return if the burrple deal is still ongoing.
